MyOhioWellness, a pioneering initiative providing critical mental health support for disengaged youth in Ohio, has successfully completed its first phase and is now set to amplify its impact with AI, empowering even more young adults across the state.
MyOhioWellness, created in collaboration with the School-Based Center of Excellence for Prevention and Early Intervention at Miami University, addresses the crucial need for mental health support among vulnerable populations, aiming to promote positive health and wellness outcomes. Many young adults face significant challenges such as difficulty returning to college, financial hardships, social isolation, and lack of access to mental health services. In its first phase, MyOhioWellness established a strong foundation by launching a content site that provides research-backed information tailored to meet diverse needs based on the eight dimensions of wellness.
Strategically promoted across major platforms, MyOhioWellness engaged more than 103,000 people in the 18 to 24-year-old demographic in urban, suburban, and rural communities of Ohio. The six-week introduction period resulted in a 60% engagement rate, with a total of 1,868,020 impressions and 1,031,212 views.
In its second phase, MyOhioWellness aims to double its reach with an AI wellness coach, an advanced chatbot designed to provide personalized, real-time support and daily wellness tips, enhancing engagement and providing immediate assistance on all aspects of wellness. This AI-powered chatbot will help ensure that all of Ohio’s youth have easy access to support and knowledge that promotes their holistic well-being.
With its proven success and ambitious vision, MyOhioWellness is poised to make a profound difference in improving mental health and wellness outcomes for Ohio’s young adults, contributing to a healthier, more resilient future for the state.
